Publisher and developer Netmarble has announced Project EVILBANE, a 4-player co-op action game set in their Raven IP universe.
Project EVILBANE is in development for Windows PC within Unreal Engine 5 and will feature a dynamic blend of melee and ranged combat, for up to 4 players.
A pre-alpha test is planned for the second half of this year, giving players early access to select gameplay features and systems – signups are available on its website.
Here’s a rundown on the game, plus its reveal trailer:
Project EVILBANE is set in a dark fantasy world inspired by the narrative roots of Netmarble’s acclaimed Raven IP. In this new adventure, players will face a vast and brutal conflict where demonic forces, warlords, and opportunistic factions clash for control. Players will form squads of up to four, teaming up to take on dangerous missions behind enemy lines and influence the outcome of a sprawling, interconnected war.
The game’s core combat emphasizes fluid transitions between melee and ranged combat, encouraging players to adapt their tactics on the fly. Players can expect a mix of high-intensity skirmishes and tactical encounters, where mastering timing, positioning, and coordination will be essential. Though key gameplay systems are still being refined, Project EVILBANE aims to strike a balance between accessibility and depth, with skill-based mechanics like reactive counters and cinematic finishers that reward precision.
Missions are structured around a central objective, supported by optional tasks that provide bonus rewards and tactical advantages. Players will have the freedom to choose how they approach each operation—whether by taking direct action, exploring alternate routes, or supporting their team with specialized roles. The game’s flexible mission design supports a variety of playstyles and promotes replayability. Multiplayer is a core pillar of Project EVILBANE, with the game featuring a persistent, global campaign where individual and team actions contribute to a larger, evolving conflict.
